Mykola Tomenko: Appointment of the Common Candidate is the Rights and Essential Idea that concerns all the Democratic Europe Oriented Candidates
During the meeting with Lviv journalists, Mykola Tomenko, the Vice-Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine declared that appointment of the common candidate is the rights and essential idea that concerns all the democratic Europe oriented candidates.
"This idea is not new. It was implemented in the year 2004, when Viktor Yushchenko was supported by number of democratic candidates, among them was the most rating one Yulia Tymoshenko", - M.Tomenko declared.
Vice-Chairman noticed that on the eve of the President election, representatives of intelligentsia and experts called politicians of democratic orientation to appoint common candidate in order to be sure in the victory of the democratic European oriented development direction in Ukraine. "The position of "Common Center" on defining of the common candidate is not new but it might be efficient is the common candidate is chosen among all the possible candidates for the Presidential office, that is: Yulia Tymoshenko, A. Yatseniuk, V. Yushchenko, A. Hrytsenko etc.", - the Vice-Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine proclaimed.
M. Tomenko also explained the mechanism of the common candidate appointing. "When we speak in what way the common candidate, the democracy does not know another method as chose them according to rating and popularity", - he informed. According to him all the candidates should be convinced to deal on what basis and, for example, one month before the completion of the first tour, support the most rating candidate on the office of the president of Ukraine from the democratic Europe oriented powers.
